Closer cooperation with Airnorth on engine MRO for CF34-8E
The Australian operator Airnorth (ANO) and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) have agreed on a closer cooperation in engine repair and overhaul for Airnorth's CF34-8E powered E170 aircraft. First MRO services have been accomplished in LTAA's shop in Alzey as well as on-site Airnorth's facility in Darwin, Australia. ANO is operating a mixed fleet of Embraer 170, Embraer 120 and Fairchild Metro 23 with further plans for fleet expansion. LTAA has been selected as partner to accompany this development, and both parties look forward to a long-lasting relationship.
"Based on our experience with LTAA during the first engine events in 2013 and the solid relationship we have built over the last years, we are happy to extend this technical cooperation with LTAA. Another two Engines are currently in the shop in Germany and the flexibility, solid engineering know-how and customer support we have experienced made us always feel comfortable and being well look after," says Mr. Leach Director and Member of the Board of Airnorth on the occasion of signing the MoU in Singapore during the 2014 airshow.
„We are pleased that Airnorth has decided to further cooperate with us and we will fulfil their expectations in a good partnership. Furthermore we do see this cooperation as a proof of concept for our commitment in the Australian regional aviation market, underlines Mark Johnson, CEO of LTAA in his speech during the MoU signing.
