Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey expands its customer base in Asia

Lao Airlines selects Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey for Engine Overhaul Services

Lao Airlines has signed a new contract with Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey for the maintenance and overhaul of its PW124B / PW127M / PW127J engines over the upcoming five years. Respective engine services agreement will cover Lao Airlines’ fleet of 8ea ATR72 / MA60 Aircrafts.

 “Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey convinced us with their longstanding experience with PW100 series engines, comprehensive engineering support beyond shop event management, efficient processes and structures and an airline minded approach which contributes to built an operation that requires a perfect reliability”, said Dr. Somphone Douangdara, President of Lao Airlines.

 “This new contract is an important milestone to expand our engine MRO business in the south east Asian MRO market. Lao Airlines will fully benefit from our continuous effort to deliver the most competitive support packages and take advantage of our more then 19 years experience in regional aircraft operation and engine maintenance,” said Joerg Femerling, Vice President Marketing and Sales of Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey.

 Lao Airlines – founded 1976 and based in Vientiane – operates a fleet of ATR72, MA60 and Cessna Caravan Aircrafts.

 The range of engine services offered by Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey extends from total engine support to custom repair and overhaul of engines, modules and individual parts; to engineering; to warranty servicing and repairs; to logistical and consulting services. The portfolio includes the PW100 series, PW150, GE CF34-3 /-8 and CF34-10.
