Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey services the 3,000th PW100 engine
More than two decades of experience with the turboprop
Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA), a hundred percent subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG, today celebrates the final test run after servicing the 3000th turboprop engine of the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 series, Together with the manufacturer, the customer Binter Canarias and the partner ATR, the anniversary engine, a PW127M destined for an ATR72-500 of the Spanish airline, was honoured with a commemorative event in the Alzey facility.
The first engine of the PW100 series of the Canadian manufacturer was serviced by LTAA already in 1988. Since then the engine type has become a backbone in the service portfolio of the company specialising in maintenance, repair and overhaul of regional aircraft engines within the worldwide Lufthansa Technik network. After the original equipment manufacturer LTAA is the world’s second largest supplier of repair and overhaul services for the PW100.
