Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey expands its customer base in Australia

PW100 series Technical Support Agreement with Alliance Airlines

Alliance Airlines, headquartered in Brisbane, and Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey, the leading provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of regional airlines’ engines, signed a three year exclusive contract of the airlines’ 5ea Fokker 50 fleet.

“Alliance Airlines’ decision for our technical support package will provide them with a comprehensive quality product, balancing highest reliability and cost efficiency”, said Mark Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey.

“Welcoming Alliance Airlines to the customer base, Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey increases its market share in Australia / New Zealand to more than 30%”.

 The Australian carrier – founded 2002 – operates a fleet of Fokker aircraft, namely 5ea F50 and 11ea F100.

The range of engine services offered by Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey extends from total engine support to custom repair and overhaul of engines, modules and individual parts, engineering, warranty servicing, logistical and consulting services. The portfolio includes the PW100 series, PW150, GE CF34-3 /-8 and CF34-10.

“Following a comprehensive selection process, Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey has been our first choice for PW125B engines. With their longstanding experience in engine maintenance and overhaul, we ensure a reliable and safe operation for the benefit of our passengers”, says Scott McMillan, Managing Director of Alliance Airlines. “In an environment of increasing fuel prices, efficient engine performance becomes a key aspect – relying on a specialized MRO provider will give us a significant advantage”.
