  • 1987
    Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey was founded in 1987 as DLT A.E.R.O. Services GmbH, a 100 % subsidiary of DLT Airlines, nowadays Lufthansa CityLine.
  • 1988
    Certification by the German Airworthiness Authority (LBA) as an approved service-center for engine overhaul Pratt & Whitney PW100 engine family.
  • 1991
    OEM approval for repair and overhaul services for PW 901A-APU's and GE CF34-3 series engines.
  • 1992
    The Lufthansa supervisory board changes the name of the company to Lufthansa CityLine A.E.R.O. GmbH.
  • 1993
    JAA approval LBA.0015 received.
  • 1994
    FAA approval L7AY586J received.
  • 1995
    The company becomes a 100 % subsidiary of the newly founded Lufthansa Technik AG, name is changed to Lufthansa A.E.R.O. GmbH.
  • 2002
    Start of repair and overhaul services for GE CF 34-8 series engines.
  • 2003
    The company's service center at Tulsa Oklahoma receives FAA approval L1UR926Y.
  • 2004
    EASA approval DE.145.0015 received.
  • 2005
    Pratt & Whitney selects Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey as first independent designated overhaul facility for the PW150 engine family.
    This engine type expands Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey's portfolio with one of the most modern turboprop engines currently available on the market.
  • since 2006
    The new logo Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey indicates clearly the company's role as center of expertise for regional and business aircraft engine repair and overhaul within the Lufthansa Technik network for MRO Services.
